ABOUT THE HARVER ASSESSMENT TESTS
Harver is an online pre-employment assessment platform that companies use to evaluate candidates’ abilities, workplace behaviours and job-related skills. Employers can combine different assessments according to the requirements of a particular position, so the exact tests presented will vary between applications.
The principal Harver assessment formats covered by our online training suite include:
Typing: Measures typing speed and accuracy. Scoring may consider correctly typed words, spelling, capitalization and punctuation to calculate net words per minute.
Numerical Reasoning: Tests your ability to recognize numerical relationships, identify patterns in number sequences and solve problems involving numerical information.
Verbal Reasoning: Assesses your ability to understand verbal concepts, identify relationships between words and draw logical conclusions from written information.
Logical Reasoning: Measures how effectively you recognize patterns, compare visual information, identify inconsistencies and apply logical rules to unfamiliar problems.
Spatial Awareness: Tests your ability to visualize, rotate and manipulate shapes or objects mentally and understand how different components fit together.
Gamified Assessments: Uses short, interactive games to examine behavioural and cognitive tendencies such as attention, focus, learning, effort, decision-making and risk tolerance.
Situational Judgement Tests: Presents realistic workplace situations and asks you to identify the most and least effective responses. These assessments may use written scenarios, images or video and are often tailored to the employer and role.
Personality Assessment: Explores workplace-related behaviours, preferences and working styles. It may consider characteristics such as conscientiousness, resilience, sociability, assertiveness, adaptability and collaboration.
Perceptual Speed and Accuracy: Measures how quickly and accurately you can compare, check, sort and verify information while working under time pressure.
Multitasking Assessment: Measures short-term memory, divided attention and the ability to switch efficiently between different rules or streams of information. Tasks may combine visual, numerical, alphabetical or other rapidly changing information.
