STEP 3: The most important step when preparing for your assessment test is to make sure you practice the ieGAT assessment test questions under strict timed conditions. In this case, the question mentions ‘total profits’. This would be a good indication that the required information will be evident on the ‘total profits’ tab. EXPLANATION: In this test, you will need to read the question and then navigate to the correct tab containing the information. In this case, the question states that the profits made in the last quarter were £42,100. Your task is to find the correct tab containing the data that would validate the claim as true, false or impossible to say. This question states: “In the last quarter of 2022, the total profits were £42,100.” To break this down into steps, we need to do the following:
STEP 1: Find the correct tab which contains the data. In this case, the total profits tab contains the correct data set.
STEP 2: Analyse the data contained in the tab to locate the correct data to validate.
STEP 3: Make the required calculation. In this case, the last quarter of 2022 is October, November and December. Add the three figures; 12.2 + 13.4 + 16.5 = 42.1. 42.1 x 1,000 = £42,100. So we can validate this statement as true.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE TEST
At first, the test will seem daunting as you are unfamiliar with the data in the tabs. However, as you progress through the questions, you will become familiar with the type of data included in each tab. This will help you to quickly locate the tab which contains the required information.
TIMING OF THE TEST
This test requires both speed and accuracy, as you must answer 56 numerical reasoning questions, out of 129 total questions, in 90 minutes, which is only forty seconds per question. Because of the difficulty alone, we recommend you prepare and practice for this test as much as possible prior to your actual assessment.
With these tabular-based questions, your task is to read the question and then locate the specific tab that is likely to contain the required information. In this case, the question mentions ‘pet insurance’. This would be a good indication that the required information will be evident on the ‘pet insurance’ tab. EXPLANATION = Within each square, the shapes are moving down each line as the sequence progresses. Once they reach the bottom, they go back to the top. However, you will notice that the two triangular shapes alternate colours, switching from black to grey and vice versa as the sequence progresses.

This test aims to measure your ability to spot patterns and sequences when presented with shapes, images and sequences.
TIMING OF THE TEST
This test requires both speed and accuracy, as you must answer 12 questions in 12 minutes, which is one minute per question. Because of the difficulty and complexity alone, we recommend you prepare and practice for this test as much as possible prior to your actual assessment.
Rule 1 = working from the top half of the box, using a zig-zag method across the sequence, the dots follow the pattern of: 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 and so on.
Rule 2 = working from the bottom half of the box, using a zig-zag method across the sequence, the dots follow the pattern of: 4, 2, 2, 2, 4, 2, 2 and so on.
Figure A can be ruled out because the top box needs 2 dots, and the bottom of the box needs 3 dots. Figure C can be ruled out because the bottom half of the box should have 3 dots, not 4. Figure D can be ruled out because the top half of the box needs 2 dots and the bottom half needs 3 dots. Figure E can be ruled out because the top half of the box needs 2 dots, not 4 dots.
