#1. The first thing to do when quickly preparing for a job interview is to RESEARCH THE COMPANY you are applying for.

This will make a massive difference to the outcome. Do the following 2 things:

#1. Visit their website and take a look at their ABOUT US page.

Find out what products and services they sell, the industry they are in, and familiarise yourself with their company values and mission.

#2. Follow them on their social media platforms to read about their latest news stories.

Researching the company will help you easily answer the interview questions, “why do you want to work here?” and “what do you know about our company?”.

#2. The second thing to do to prepare for a job interview in the fastest time possible is to THINK ABOUT YOUR ATTIRE!

Remember this before you attend the interview…an interview is nothing to worry about. An interview is just a two-way conversation between you and the hiring manager to see if you have the skills, competence and enthusiasm to do the job properly, and whether you will fit into their team. • Any ACHIEVEMENTS you have attained in your life so far.
• The TYPE OF PERSON you are and what you will do in the role.

Those four things stand for SEAT – Skills, Education and Experience, Achievements and Type of person you are – you can easily remember the SEAT structure for tell me about yourself because you will be sitting on a SEAT at your interview.

#5. The fifth thing to do to quickly prepare for your job interview is to look at the job description – if you do this, your chances of passing will literally skyrocket.

The job description usually comes with the job advert. On the job description, there will be a list of skills, strengths and qualities needed to do the job properly. Take note of the skills, strength and qualities and reference them in your answers to the interview questions:

• What are your greatest strengths?
• What makes you stand out from the other candidates?
• Why should we hire you?

#6. The sixth thing to do to quickly prepare for your job interview is to PREPARE 3 QUESTIONS TO ASK THE HIRING MANAGER.

Now, at the end of your job interview, the hiring manager is going to say to you, “do you have any questions for us?”. 90% of candidates respond by saying “No, I don’t have any questions, you covered everything in the interview.”

That is huge mistake!

Asking smart and considered questions shows the hiring manager you want to do a great job for their company.

Q1. What would my success in the position look like in twelve months’ from now?

Q2. What opportunities would there be for training and eventually progression in the role?

Q3. Can you tell me more about the team I would be a part of in this role and their responsibilities.

Now, at the end of your job interview, the hiring manager is going to say to you, “why should we hire you?”. This is one of the hardest questions to answer because you need to stand out! The way to stand out is to give them a 30, 60 and 90 day plan of action that tells them exactly what you will do in the role when they hire you! #8. The eighth thing to do to quickly prepare for your job interview is to consider HOW YOU WILL ANSWER THE MOST COMMON INTERVIEW QUESTIONS.

During a job interview, the hiring manager will have a set of common questions that will ask you. Here is that list of questions;

• Tell me about yourself.
• Why do you want this job?
• What are your strengths?
• What’s your biggest weakness?
• Why do you want to leave your job?
• Where do you see yourself in five years?
• Describe yourself in three words!
